Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Is A State, Contingent Upon Happening Of An Event

When stress is qualified with two additional words, traumatic on the left side and disorder on the right side, what can happen to an individual? It is not only the situation that you have to face; it is an ordeal that you have to undergo.

It is not a disease in itself. Post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD is a state, contingent upon happening of an event. It depends upon the intensity of the incident, and the level of your response to it. Feeling of danger to life is one of the worst types of traumatic stress disorders one may have to undergo.

Our soldiers are but human beings. There is a limit beyond which the human mind would say, Well, this is the limit. Beyond this I can not bear. This is demonic. The dastardly war-scenes might trouble his memory, repeatedly. Even if you are not the direct sufferer, the impact of the suffering of others, watching a serious accident, a natural calamity like Tsunami, or a violent terrorist attack, a devastating fire- all these could lead to PTSD.

The following factors may also contribute to PTSD:

1. Flashbacks that create intense impact in your mind.
2. Highly disturbing memories.
3. Feelings of guilt.
4. Panic attacks.
5. Panoria.

The treatment for PTSD varies from individual to individual. It depends upon his mental and intellectual levels-his capacity to understand and bear the strain. Post-traumatic stress disorders can cause flashbacks, which are vivid, and disturbing memories of the event.

The person with PTSD is helpless individual and requires sympathy and understanding. Tactful handling of the person is required to create fresh hopes in his life. Efforts must be made to cultivate in him deep understanding of life. Counseling on socio-spiritual topics is likely to give positive results in his disposition. His emotional numbness will have to be tackled. The person needs to be told that he has a purpose in life and he must fulfill it, by positive thinking. There are many cases in this world, which are worse than his, he needs to be emphatically but politely be told.

The attack of PTSD is difficult to predict. It may be immediate, one month after the event, sometimes, it might happen after years.

Pet Friendly Vacation Rentals and Holiday Homes

Pets are an integral part of ones family, especially for all pet lovers. So, when a family goes on vacation it is considered that the pet goes along. All vacation planning thus includes the pets and pet friendly vacations and travel planning make more sense. According to statistics, 60 million households in the USA are proud pet owners. About 15 million or 25% of these pet owners travel on vacations with their pets and stay in pet friendly lodgings. For the convenience of these pet owners pet friendly hotels, vacation home rentals and condos are available across many locations. The following are a few tips to keep in mind while traveling with a pet.

1. While making your vacation rental or hotel reservations, make sure you double-check that pets are permitted. Make sure that you get the pets allowed receipt for your reservation either online or through normal mail channels. Verbal assurances cannot be relied upon.

2. The next step is to get your pet acquainted with traveling. One can achieve this by using the car. Get the pet into the car and make sure you play with it to make it relax. After a while, take it for a short drive. Increase the length of the drives bit by bit, so that the pet gets used to long drives that you may take on most vacations.

3. Keeping the safety factor foremost in mind, make sure you get your pet to get used to being secured inside the car. Securing harness can be bought from the local pet stores.

4. Make sure you pet is properly tagged with the identification containing the pets name, owners name and the phone number, preferably your vacation rentals or cell phone number. This will ensure that the pet is returned to you easily in case it wanders off in new surroundings. Make sure you have a photograph of your pet handy, so that in case of a loss, enquiries are easier.

5. Always check with your vet before the vacation, if any vaccinations are needed to suit the environment of your destination. If your pet is a dog, make sure you carry the up-to-date rabies tag on its collar. It could be required in many places.

6. Upon arrival at the pet friendly vacation rental always inform the check-in person or staff that you have a pet along with you. Make sure you understand and follow the rules of the place regarding pet restricted areas in the vacation rentals.

7. Never let the pet use the furniture in the pet friendly vacation rental for sitting or sleeping unless covered with your own sheet. Use the bathroom for placing water and food containers over an old newspaper to facilitate cleaning up.

8. Avoid leaving the pet unattended in a pet friendly vacation rental. If you have to do so, please inform the clerk or the rental agent of the same. Make sure you pet is secured while doing so lest it may surprise or hurt the vacation rental staff.

Traveling and vacationing with pets can be fun, if you use a little commonsense and care while doing so.

Childhood Obesity In Our Youth

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:01 am

Seeing a child abused is one of the worst sights a mother can endure, so why is making your child obese any different? Childhood obesity is on the rise as well as adulthood obesity so why are we all concentrating on adults getting slimmer when it should be children that are our main focus. An obese child is something that cannot go unaddressed. The child will have some serous problems in his life if he is not made to loose this weight. He will be unhappy and unfit for the rest of his life if no one takes charge, how I he supposed to know any difference he is a child, it is the parents responsibility to make sure that the child gets better!

A child is less likely to be obese due to health problems and although genetics play a part in his obesity the lifestyle of his family contributes most to his disease. To be straightforward most childhood obesity stems from an unhealthy diet and lack of exercise. Although in this day and age being overweight is nothing of a surprise with junk food, takeaways and sweets everywhere you go and convenience not health is on everyones mind! Not to mention that most children would rather sit in and watch television or play their console games than go out and play! Exercise is no longer a part of childrens routine, they are lucky if they get two hours of exercise at school and at home it is non existent. The National Diet and Nutrition survey in 2000 showed that 40-69% of children did not get the one hour a day exercise that is recommended and there is concern that this number has increased.

Childhood obesity can be sorted if worked on from a young age, we do not want to have to watch our children getting bullied at school for being grossly overweight, or getting operations to prevent them from eating as much. We need to show our children to eat sensibly and we need to get them active. Most children copy examples from their parents so if we were to eat fresh fruit and vegetables then there is no reason why they cant. To help prevent childhood obesity try to eliminate a lot of the sweet stuff in the house and replace it with nutritional foods such as fruit, and low fat alternatives.

As well as an increasing mortality childhood obesity adds to the likelihood of contracting chronic diseases and we need to prevent this, we need to show our children that being overweight is not the life that they should be living and parents should buckle down and get their children eating properly or else obesity will lead us all into a recipe for disaster.

How to Define a Business

Businesses are everywhere. They are the units that perform most of the economic activity in our economy. Most businesses exist to generate a profit. There are some businesses that exist to perform a function other than profit, such as cooperatives and non-profit organisations. The traditional definition of a business is an entity that brings together time, effort and capital in order to produce a profit.

There are different ways of classifying businesses but here are the main types:

  • These take raw materials and make finished products, which they then sell. They make a physical good such as a car or a sofa.
  • Service businesses do not produce a physical product but offer a service to consumers. They make a profit by charging for their skills and labour.
  • Retailers and distributors. These businesses facilitate the chain of supply. They buy goods from the producers or wholesalers and sell them on to consumers at a higher price.
  • Agriculture and mining. These businesses are also known as extraction industries as they make their profit by taking raw materials out of the ground. Forestry, fishing and coal mining would be in this group.
  • Financial businesses include banks, insurance companies and investment funds. They offer financial services to consumers and other businesses and generate a profit by managing capital for others.
  • Utilities are companies that provide vital public services like heat, electricity, gas, water and sewage treatment.
  • Real estate is the business of buying, selling and developing land and buildings. These can range from homes to commercial properties to factories.
  • Transportation businesses move people and goods around the world. These would include taxi and bus companies, freight companies, shipping companies and airlines.

Businesses can either be privately owned or publicly owned by the government. Government usually regulates business for a variety of purposes. This will include collecting corporate taxes. Also certain business pose a risk to the public and so must be regulated. Some businesses, especially extraction and manufacturing but also others, have a significant impact on the environment. If they were left unregulated, they could, while carrying out their functions for profit, do irreparable harm to the environment. Others, such as drug companies and pharmaceuticals must be regulated so that safety and health standards can be maintained. Drugs must be monitored so that any that begin to cause serious side effects are quickly taken off the market.

Most people hold the view that it would not be successful to have businesses regulate themselves when it comes to vital areas of the public interest.

A simple effect and safe way to get a good night’s sleep.

Why is it sometimes just so hard to get a good, restful night’s sleep’

For many of us, every evening can frequently be one of “tossing and turning”, where we are just unable to settle and get off to sleep.

Some of this grueling sleep deprivation is voluntary. But with “Too much to do’” “Too much to see’”, “Too many responsibilities’” – All this can lead to not sufficient sleep.

For many people, sleep is a desperate requirement. People toss and turn, but the sleep does not come. Others get to sleep only to awaken later in the middle of the night. The following morning, millions of people head off to work bleary-eyed, trying to be productive. It’s a vicious cycle.

In due course exhaustion can get bad enough that a person seeks help from their doctor, who obligingly writes a prescription for some pills. At first, they work well.and the insomniac person gets some much needed relief.

However, the real nightmare is all to often about to start. After a while, the sleeping pills just stop working. Unfortunately, by then, the person is addicted. The doctor has been told the drugs are not addictive by the drug manufacturer. Anecdotal proof, often hidden from us however, suggests drug manufacturers aren’t telling doctors the whole story. There’s big money in having a ‘non-addictive’ sleeping pill. As the saying goes, ‘Money Talks.’

It turns out that there is alternative way, but not one health insurance or the National Health Service will pay for. Because there are no large drug companies established behind this alternative, health insurance companies or even your own health care provider just don’t recognize it as a health-giving alternative choice.

Contrary to what doctors almost always are taught , both in medical schools and from drug companies, nutrition plays a large part in getting a good night’s sleep.

There are a number of vitamins and minerals that strengthen sleep. An Internet search for ‘insomnia vitamins’ and ‘insomnia minerals’ provides a wealth of information about these nutritional supports.

Staying off nicotine, caffeine and alcohol helps in obtaining a good night’s sleep, as does having a good diet and obtaining regular exercise

Amino acids are lesser known for their worth in being able to get sufficient sleep, but they are just as vital. L-Tryptophan, for example, is called ‘essential’ for a reason. Individuals can’t survive without it.

Without adequate L-Tryptophan, or its easier-to-get cousin, Solgar 5-HTP (5-Hydroxy Tryptophan), human beings are not able to calm down. Sound familiar’ Generally, about 100 mg of Solgar 5-HTP provides enough relaxation that sleep becomes an option for an average adult.

(5 HTP might not be commonplace in some health food store, but it can be bought on-line here -

    http://www .solgar .co.uk/modules/shop/view .asp’catid=18&Prodcode=5-HTP2 )

Experimentation to find an proper dosage is safe and easy.
Sleep becomes an opportunity with enough L-Tryptophan in the brain. This is where L-Theanine, another commonly available amino acid, comes in. It’s a sleep time amplifier, providing more rest in less time. A dose of 100 mg at bed time is a good starting place.
Finally, GABA (yet another amino acid) works for some people. Most sleeping pills work on the same part of the brain that uses GABA . Sadly, for technical reasons, just taking GABA does not always work that well. Trying 200 mg at bed time is a good starting place. It may or may not work.

Anyone having trouble getting a good night’s sleep can leave the sleeping pills in the cabinet. Instead, trying some Solgar 5-HTP, as an economical option. This supplement is a safe and non-addictive substitute.

    Crab Comforts

Crabs are among the most succulent and delicious seafood eaten today. Whole crabs, crab legs, crab cakes, alaskan crabs, stone crabs, and even other tiny crabs are served across the nation. Some like it with sauce, others are contented to steam it and pick the meat out. More adventurous people would include crabs in soups, salads, and even sandwiches. Crab cakes and crab fritters are also popular choices. Crabs are even included in pasta sauces and omelettes.

But before making crab dishes it is necessary to get really good crabs and crab meat. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to prepare whole crabs, crab legs, crab cakes, alaskan crabs, stone crabs, or some tiny crab, they key here is freshness. It is better and advised that you get live crabs. Pick crabs that are lively or aggressive. Sick or dead crabs would only ruin your dish and could even be a cause of sickness. Also, crabs are sold by bushels. Insists to inspect or choose your own crabs before putting them in bushels. To ensure freshness, befriend your fish person and ask them to keep you informed when the next batch of crabs would be in. Fresh crabs taste juicier and more succulent than stale crabs.

Now that you have your crabs, it is important to remember some guidelines in preparing them. You would not want to waste quality crabs by careless cooking, would you? It doesn’t matter if you want to cook crabs, crab legs, crab cakes, alaskan crabs, stone crabs, or some tiny crab dish, cook your crabs as soon as you got them. I assure you they’ll taste better than if cooked on a later time. For steaming, get a wide rack and steaming pot so you can steam the all crabs at once. This way, crabs are steamed evenly and you can prevent earlier steamed crabs from cooling. Make sure that your rack has enough height for your crabs to stay well above the steaming liquid, too short racks will give you boiled crabs instead of steamed. Another trick is to add beer to your boiling liquid, it will give your crabs outstanding flavor. Crab cakes are trickier. It is important to control your seasonings so as not to overpower the subtle flavor of the crab. Avoid over-frying or your crab cake will dry out. The color of stone crab claws and most crabs will change to a bright shade of orange when cooked. Do not overcook your crabs, as soon as they signal you with their color change, remove them from direct heat. When your crabs are cooked, keep your sauces or condiments to a minimum, after all, it is the crabs that should be the star of your meal. Call your friends and family to share your crab feast. But on the other hand, they’ll taste so good you might want to enjoy them by yourself.

Car Seat Buying Advice and Guide – Car Seats For Babies and Children

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:15 am

    Choosing the Correct Car Seat

Choosing the correct car seat can often be very confusing as not only have you to ensure the correct size car seat for your child but that the car seat that you choose is also a correct fit for your car. Selecting a car seat that scores highly in the many test reports available is all very well but selecting a car seat that fits your car properly is probably the more important feature for your childs safety.

If you are in any doubt about which car seat is the correct fit for your car consult the car seat manufacturers web site as many of the leading manufacturers such as Britax, Maxicosi and Renoluxwill have a Fit Finder guide detailing which of their car seats are most suitable for your model of car.

All child restraints sold in the UK must conform to the United Nations ECE Regulation R44.03 or later version of the standard and must be clearly marked.

Choosing a car seat that is suitable for your childs weight and height.

    • Group 0+ Infant Carriers
    • Group 0: for babies upto 10 kgs (22 lbs) approximately from birth to 6-9 months.
    • Group 0+: for babies upto 13 kg (29lbs) approximately from birth to 12-15 months.

    Group 0+ Infant Carriers

This group of car seat can be used in the front or rear of the car but CANNOT be used in the front passenger seat if there is a passenger airbag. It is safer to put them in the rear. Rearward-facing seats provide greater protection for the baby’s head, neck and spine than forward-facing seats.

Babies should be in a rearward facing car seat and should not be placed in a forward-facing seat until they weigh at least 9 kgs and can sit up unaided. Babies should be kept in a rearward-facing seat for as long as possible. Once your child is above the maximum weight for a rearward-facing seat or the top of their head is above the top of the seat they should be moved into a forward-facing seat. It is not important if their knees are bent in the seat, provided they are still within the seat’s weight range.

Convenience factor with this stage of car seat is that most models will have a carry handle enabling you to easily remove and carry the baby without removing them from the car seat especially handy if the baby is asleep and may also fit onto corresponding pushchair converting it to a travel system.

Group 0+ and 1 Car Seats

Suitable for Babies upto 18kg, Birth to 4 years approximately.

Ideal car seats if you do not have to constantly remove them from car to car or car to home. They are a much larger seat designed to protect your baby from newborn to 4 years approximately. The car seat is used rearward facing when using for a baby up to 9kgs. The car seat can be used forward facing once the baby has reached 9 to 13kg weight. Baby does not have to be forward facing until they are 13 kgs. It is important to check that this style of child car seat is compatible with your vehicle when fitted forward AND rearward facing. You must never leave baby asleep unattended in any car.

    Forward-facing child seat

Group 1: for children weighing 9-18 kgs (20-40 lbs) approximately from 9 months – 4 years.

Once a child has outgrown a rearwards facing seat, the best option is to use a Group 1 seat with an integral harness, the large area of the harness helps to reduce the risk of injury if there is a crash. The bottom attachment between the legs will also prevent the child from sliding under, and out of the harness. They can be used in the front or rear of the car but it is safer to put them in the rear especially if there is a passenger airbag in the front. Once again it is safest to keep children in this type of car seat until they have outgrown it.

Only move your child to a booster seat once they have exceeded the maximum weight for the child seat or the top of their head is higher than the top of the seat. If you intend to use this car seat between two cars please ensure that the model of car seat purchased is suitable for both cars. It maybe simpler to purchase two seats each one fitting the car perfectly rather than buying one seat which may not fit either car perfectly as great care is needed to follow the seat belt routings and tighten well. They can also be car specific for correct fitting and not every child seat fits every car.

With this in mind it maybe worth checking out ISOFIX fitting car seats. This is a system that is intended to make fitting child seats quick and simple. All new cars are manufactured with ISOFIX points built into them allowing ISOFIX child seats to be simply plugged into the ISOFIX points in the car. This is a very useful development as many people find it difficult to fit child seats correctly and many surveys have found that a high proportion of the child seats are not fitted securely enough. Most child seats are currently designed to be fitted by using a car’s adult lap and diagonal seat belt (or sometimes, just a lap belt). However car seats, seat belts and their anchorages vary dramatically between different models of cars. Car seats have different shapes, some seat belts are much shorter than others, the position of the anchor points differs so some are further forward or have shorter stalks than others. All these factors make it virtually impossible to make a child car seat that fits all cars and sometimes tricky to fit a child car seat correctly.

ISOFIX car seats are designed to solve all these problems. The ultimate aim is that any ISOFIX child car seat you buy will fit your car simply by plugging it into the ISOFIX points. The other benefit of ISOFIX is that it will create a rigid link between the child seat and the car to provide extra solidity. It is important to make sure that any ISOFIX seats that you use in the vehicle are approved for it. It is not yet the case that any ISOFIX seat will fit in every car with ISOFIX points. To fit an ISOFIX seat into some cars you may either to use a top tether kit or an ISOFIX car seat that has a drop down leg to stabilise the car seat to the car floor. Please ensure your car is suitable for whichever seat you choose by consulting the relevant manufacturers web site.

Group 2 Child Car Seats: for children weighing 15-25kgs (33-55lbs) from 4 to 10 years approximately.

If your child is over the 25kgs weight but is below 135cm in height it is recommended that the child remain in the seat. The majority of Stage 2 seats have a height adjustable back to allow you to gradually change the height of the back as your child grows; this also changes the height and angle of the seat belt, keeping it constantly in the optimum safest position. These seats do not have to be fitted to each car and will generally fit all vehicles without too many problems – sports car owners with bucket seats will need to choose a seat with a small base.

    Group 1 & 2 Child Car Seats:

Suitable for children weighing 9-36kgs (20-80lbs) from 9 months to 12 years approximately or up to 135cms.

There is now a greater choice of car seats in this range than ever before. The car seat will include a child harness to be used up to 15-18kgs then the harness can be removed and the child seat can then use the adult car seat belt with most of these seats having an adjuster or seat belt guide so that the belt does not rub on the childs neck. The back rest of these seats will be height adjustable with some even having width adjustment as well.

    Group 3 Child Car Seats:

Usually Suitable for children of 22kgs (48lbs) or 6 years upwards.

This child seat raises the height of the child so they can use the adult seat belt in the correct position.

    WARNING:

No child seat is escape proof as harness systems are not designed to be completely child proof in order to comply with the legal requirements of ECE R44. The harness must be fastened and adjusted correctly with children encouraged to sit within the car seats harness.

If child seat has been involved in an accident or sustained any damage whatsoever it must be replaced immediately. Any damage to the car seat is not always visible such as the harness which is designed to stretch helping to prevent damage to the childs internal organs. This can only happen once with any further impact leaving the harness with no more stretch thus risking injury to the child.

This is why you should never use a second hand car seat.

If you allow your child to eat and drink in the car seat please ensure that you keep the buckle of the childs car seat clean as any food or drink that finds its way in may prevent the buckle and harness from working properly.

Should you trust your analyst? (Part II)

The first stage of most business decisions, such as marketing, hiring, and investing, is gathering data. In most cases the information is captured in the form of words. Once the gathering of data is complete, the next step is analyzing the collected words. In many cases this analysis is performed by professional analysts, such as marketing researchers, human resource managers, and portfolio managers. In light of some recent scientific research, should you believe their analysis, and their recommendations?

A recent scientific study (Rothwell, P.M. and Martyn, C.N. Reproducibility of peer review in clinical neuroscience: Is agreement between reviewers any greater than would be expected by chance alone? Brain 2000 123:19641969) measured the level of agreement between reviewers of manuscripts submitted for publication in a scientific journal. These reviewers are usually professors in universities with extensive expertise in the subject of the reviewed manuscript. The editor of the journal asked the professors two questions: 1. should the manuscript be accepted, revised, or rejected, and 2. is the priority for publication low, medium, or high. Every manuscript was evaluated by two professors. The study was repeated with manuscripts submitted to two journals. In journal A the study compared the evaluations of 179 papers and in journal B the evaluations of 116 manuscripts. The agreement between the professors was calculated using the Kappa statistic.

The results showed no agreement between the reviewers regarding both the recommendation and priority for publication. In fact, the level of agreement was no greater than which would produced by flipping a coin. Moreover, when a larger number of independent reviewers evaluated the same manuscript, the results were the same, no agreement. As the author of the study write “if peer review is an attempt to measure the overall quality of research in terms of originality, the appropriateness of the methods used, analysis of data, and justification of the conclusions, then a complete lack of reproducibility is a problem. These specific assessments should be relatively objective and hence reproducible.” The assessments should be reproducible, but they’re not. When one professor said “accept for publication,” the other said “reject,” when one reviewer said “high priority for publication,” the other said “low priority.”

    Points to consider:
    1. In this study, the analysts were professors who were selected for their expertise in the subject of the manuscript. These professors possess a much higher level of expertise in the research subject relative to even the most experienced moderators and interviewers analyzing qualitative customer data, or the most experienced human resource managers analyzing candidate data. So, if these highly trained experts failed to show consistent processing of qualitative data, what are the chances that the less trained professionals and layman will show consistent analysis of their data?

    2. The criteria in this study were whether the research reported in the manuscript is original, uses appropriate methods, correctly analyzes the data, and properly justifies the conclusions. As the authors of the study say, these criteria are regarded relatively objective. Unlike this study, the great majority of qualitative studies involve subjective criteria such as tastes, morals, values, or preferences. If the professors failed to consistently apply objective criteria when evaluating the manuscripts, how can the less trained professionals and layman be trusted to consistently apply subjective criteria when evaluating qualitative data?

    3. In this study, pairs of professors assigned different values to the same manuscript. Who is right? After all this is science and both cannot be right. Now, if such great experts failed to convince us that they can process a qualitative dataset correctly, or at least consistently, how can we trust professionals or layman when they say that they can?

    Summary:
The first stage of most decision making in business is gathering data. In most cases the information is collected in the form of words. Once the words are available, the professionals who gather the data perform an analysis of these words, and present the results to the decision maker. As the study by Rothwell and Martyn suggests, these professionals, most frequently, will fail in their analysis of qualitative data, and produce results which will prevent the decision maker from making the right decision.

Why You Should Go to College

The idea behind college that a lot of high school graduates do not grasp is that college is not a simple extension of any prior education. To attend college is not just a step up on the educational ladder, like grammar school to junior high to high school. What sets college apart is the very concept of it: it is a crossroads to something else, a limbo of not only education, but exploration as well. Experience college as a winding roadmap destination: to know where it all leads to is beside the point. All the fun to be had is in getting there.

    Computer Forensics Training

Computer forensics is the investigation and analysis of a crime using a computer to help solve the case. Computer forensics is used to investigate crimes with high tech programs. Computer forensics can also be used to prepare digital data suitable for inclusion in a criminal investigation.

A wide variety of methods are used to discover data hidden in a computer system. Specialists are sometimes used to help recover deleted, encrypted or damaged file information. Any or all evidence obtained can be used for discovery, depositions or actual litigation. People who are specialized in computer forensics are sometimes referred to as a CCE or a Certified Computer Examiner. Computer forensic training involves a training program with online exams.

Most computer forensic courses equip a student with a full range of computer forensics skills. Students learn to build digital forensics toolkits. They also develop skills to track an offender on the Internet, define proper evidence handling procedures and learn how to work with law enforcement agencies. The students learn to apply proven investigative strategies and are finally awarded their CCE certifications.

Computer forensic training programs cover issues like networks and protocols and the architecture of operating systems. They also include crime analysis and crime scene management and courtroom/expert witness skills.

Computer forensic training also educates cyber crime investigators in techniques of computer forensic investigations. Students are eligible for a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator Certification or CHFI.

Government agencies and private sector companies have seen an increased demand for computer forensics in the last decade. Computer based evidence is often used in cases where incriminating documents are likely to be found on a computer like financial fraud and child pornography. Civil cases make use of business and personal records found on computer systems for fraud, divorce, discrimination and harassment cases.

In order to keep pace with the ever-changing technology and advances, course materials for computer forensic training are constantly upgraded to keep candidates updated on the latest techniques and skills in the field of forensics.

I’m Ok, You’re Not Ok — Why You’ll Probably Never Be Rich

I can already tell a few things about you. You’re the kind of person that doesn’t let a little hard work hold you back. How do I know?

The people who want everything to be easy, read the title of this article and quickly move on to the next article. You’re probably also fed up with reading articles and web sites that promise you’ll get rich doing next to nothing, not have to learn anything new, and can be a complete simpleton.

Am I exaggerating? Don’t most of the business opportunity sites you read promise exactly that? That you can have no training, no talent, no ambition, no desire to do anything — and STILL earn a six figure income?

I’m not exaggerating one little bit. Somehow that bizarre “do nothing” approach to business has gotten rampant on the Net. Deep in your gut, you know beyond a doubt that such methods are just drivel. No wonder Internet business opportunities have been trending downward for the past five years.

As a cousin to Rich Jerk, renowned Internet millionaire, I don’t mince words when I tell people what it will take for them to earn a huge income online.

    * You MUST have ambition and not be afraid to WANT the BIGGEST things in life — big house, nice car, best neighborhood. People who don’t want and don’t dream don’t get rich, unless they discover gold in their backyard.

    * You MUST be willing to learn new methods. Case in point, the promotion methods 99% of web sites use are so badly outdated it it’s almost funny. Then WHY are they still using these methods? Simple. They’re either too stupid or too lazy to learn knew methods. If YOU make the effort to learn better, up-to-date promotion strategies, you’ll walk all over everybody else.

    * STOP being easy on yourself. If you don’t have millions in the bank, you AREN’T OK! You need a swift kick in your motivation. You need to get in there and FIGHT for what you want.

I could go on, but those 3 tips are ALL you need to succeed. Have boundless ambition, learn the latest strategies, and stay motivated until you make them work for you.

You know what the main difference is between the self-made millionaire and everybody else? The millionaire set her sites on wealth and didn’t quit until she achieved it. Yes, showing up every day is 90 percent of the game. Come armed and ready to do battle — every day.

I’ll see you at the Country Club.

Make Sachets With Potpourri And Essential Oils

Do you have potpourri and essential oils coming out your ears? If so, you may want to consider using them to make simple sachets as gifts. Sachets are great for tucking into bureau drawers to make your clothing smell wonderful and also can be used in closets.

To make a sachet, you will need muslin, ribbon, and some potpourri. Cut a four inch by eight inch piece of muslin. Fold it in half with the right sides together so that you make a four inch by four inch piece. Sew the two side edges and turn the muslin sack right side out.

Next, fill the sack two thirds of the way with your potpourri. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils. Then, gather the top edges of your sack and tie them off with the ribbon. If you will be giving the sachets to people who will be hanging them in closets, make a hanging loop in the ribbon. Otherwise, make a pretty bow. Add decorative elements such as fabric flowers, buttons, or bits of lace to dress up your sachets.

If you want to make the sachets a bit fancier, you can use decorative cotton fabrics or even lace to make your sacks instead of using simple muslin.

For a fun variation on the sachet, make scented kitchen hot pads as gifts. You can use store bought hot pads or make your own. If you use store bought hot pads, open a few inches on one seam and add a few drops of essential oil or herbs and spices like cinnamon or nutmeg. Then, sew the seam back up. When a hot plate of food or a cup of tea sits on the hot pad, the warmth will release the scent.

Whether you make sachets or hot pads as gifts, you will be able to give useful presents that smell fabulous.

    Mobility Scooter Range

One of the key issues when looking for a mobility scooter is the range or distance that you will be able to use scooter before the need to recharge. The range is generally given by the manufacture in miles e.g. up to 10 miles. If you are buying the mobility scooter to make a specific journey e.g. from your home to a local town, you must ensure that the scooter you purchase has an adequate range to complete the journey. We often receive feedback on our blogs and forums from customers who have purchased scooters which were not suitable for there intended regular journey in terms of range and ride quality. This is generally the case when a decision has been made purely on price. For example if you intend to complete long journeys, a small 3 wheel portable scooter may simply not be up to the job in terms of providing a comfortable ride and sufficient range. In this case a larger (and more expensive) 4 wheel, 4mph rated machine may be a better prospect. Ride quality is especially important should you suffer from a medical condition such as back pain or arthritis.

Guitar Chords: How To Solo Over Chords With The Minor Pentatonic Scale

Soloing over guitar chords is easy when you know how to use the minor pentatonic scale. Add spice and power to your solo’s with these simple but highly effective techniques.

The humble minor pentatonic scale is what most guitar players start with when learning to solo. Trouble is, they don’t learn to use the scale to it’s best potential.

Here, I’ll show you an easy way to use the pentatonic scale to solo over the three most common guitar chord types: Major, minor and dominant 7th chords.

    1. Major Chords

A Major chord always has a relative minor chord. The easy way to find the ‘relative’ minor of any major chord on a guitar is to take the note three half-steps (3 frets) below the root note of the major chord.

For example: a C major chord – the root note is C. On a guitar, the note 3 frets below a C note is A. Therefore, A minor is the relative minor of C major.

So to solo over a C major chord, use the A minor pentatonic scale and you can’t go wrong.

Another example: F major chord – three frets below the root of F, you will find D. So you use a D minor pentatonic scale over an F major chord.

Another example: G major chord – three frets below the G root note you’ll find E. So… you use the E minor pentatonic to solo over a G chord.

Now, you may have noticed that I listed C, F and G major chords there. Coincidentally, They are the 1, 4 and 5 chords of the ‘KEY’ of C Major. This applies to all instruments, not just guitar.

    More about this later…

    2. Minor Chords

These are easy… just use the minor pentatonic of what ever the minor chord is. E.g. Use D minor pentatonic for a D minor chord, an E minor pentatonic for an E minor chord, an A minor pentatonic for an A minor Chord.

Now, did you notice I used D, E and A minor chords as the example? Did you also notice that these chords are the 2, 3 and 6 chords of the ‘KEY’ of C Major?

    More about that later, too…

    3. Dominant 7th Chords

You have a couple of choices here. But basically, you would use the relative minor pentatonic, or the minor pentatonic a tone below the root of the dom7 chord.

For example, over G7, you could use either E minor pent (relative minor), or D min pentatonic.

The reason you could use the D minor pentatonic over a G7 chord is because the Dmi chord and G7 chord often go together in chord progressions. Forcing a Dmi sound over a G7 chord gives a G7sus sound.

    4. Thinking From a ‘KEY” Perspective

OK, what we have looked at is the KEY of C Major. And basically you can use just the A minor pentatonic alone for ALL the chords in C, or you can also use the D and E minor pentatonics to add some color and more conformity to the chords being used at the time.

Remember, these principles apply to whatever chord you are playing at any time, but can also be applied on a KEY basis, which is a more encompassing picture.

The Key of C Major has these chords:

    C, Dm, Em, F, G7, Am, Bmin7b5.

Ami pent can be used over them all, or just the C and Am chords.

D min pentatonic can be used over the F and Dm chords.

E minor can be used over the Em and G7 chords.

We didn’t mention the 7 chord (Bmi7b5) because it’s not used very much. But a good choice is the Dm pentatonic. In fact, though, you can use either of the three pentatonics from the C Major scale – Am, Dm or Em. Try them, see which you like best.

I hope you enjoyed this article. You can find more information about guitar chords at my site: http://www.Free-Guitar-Chords.com

The idea of using pentatonics for different chords is a powerful one, don’t overlook the cool sounds you can create with such a simple device.

Also, in a future article, I’ll be discussing ‘Pentatonic Substitution’ where I’ll show you how to use substitute and altered pentatonics for even more sound choices.

Labor Day Party And Picnic Ideas

It is the end of the summer season, and you want to have that last barbeque or pool party before the weather begins to turn cool. You have a dilemma, though: you need Labor Day party/picnic ideas. It is, after all, the end of the summer season, so you want to send it out with a bang.

What you can do in celebration depends on how much room you have and how many guests you plan to have. Of course, it is standard to say that it also depends on the weather, but that is understood. Since it is the last day of the official summer party season, and you have a pool, you will likely want to center your party on enjoying the last of the swimming season. If you do not have a pool but would like to reserve something at a park or close to the beach, you want to do it early because more than likely, many others will have the same idea. Red, white, and blue streamers and balloons are always appropriate decorations as are theme items such as miniature picnic baskets.

If your budget allows it, many amusement parks also have pavilions that you can rent for a party. If you have a great many children, places that cater to the younger set such as Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA and Sesame Place are appropriate (check your local area for related theme parks that cater to children). For a largely adult crowd, a picnic park where food and entertainment are included with the cost of the ticket is a good idea. One such park exists in Pennsylvania, and the entertainment includes tubing, paddleboats, canoe rides, pony rides, golfing, tennis, and much more.

The possibilities are enormous, and are limited only by your imagination. Use caution when planning your party, and do not set off fireworks unless you are trained and licensed to do so. Sparklers should only be used in open areas that are away from dry grass, preferably in a parking lot with only enough ground to hold the sparkler. Keep the laws of your state and county in mind as some states forbid even the use of sparklers by anyone other than a professional. Make the last party of the season fun for everyone, but do it by following fire and safety regulations.

    Make it New, Now

    Copyright 2006 Marshall House

In my view, each day is an opportunity to make life anew. I often help people to create something new when I hear a story repeated again and again.

Even if I am hearing a story for the first time, I can feel the resonance of an oft-repeated saga. I start to yawn as I hear or see the needle move along the groove. Truthfully, whether this is a wonderful story or a not-wonderful story, I can feel or hear or see the pattern. My awareness is heightened when the oft-repeated story recounts a situation the person does not wish to recreate.

Now, let me quickly say that I have experienced some incredibly engaging story tellers who do not bore me with their repeated stories. When the story teller is engaged with the creation of the story and sees it as new, the listener is more easily engaged. The master story teller lives a story as if it is being told for the very first time, created right now in this moment. Sometimes the master story teller plays with the listener or listeners in a magical in-the-moment way. So, there is story telling and there is story telling.

Perhaps it is risky to go on record saying that I am bored by the repetition of a story. Clients who work with me in one-on-one sessions know that I do not encourage their telling disempowering stories. Sometimes they just need to tell it one more time to someone who is able to listen deeply.

When a caring person listens deeply to a disempowering story, the pain can dissipate for the speaker. When I say “listens deeply” I refer to a skill that is rarely practiced. I mean that the listener is truly with the speaker, not sympathizing and not being reminded of another, similar situation. And certainly not giving advice or telling his or her own story! I mean the deep listener listens attentively in as many ways as possible, fully present, fully in the moment.

When the deep listener gets sucked into the drama, listening is no longer happening. The listener now colludes in creating more of the same rather than in helping the person to accept that life is created anew in each moment. The future is created by the present.

Whatever you give your attention to expands. Your focus of attention is your key to happiness. You may forget this dynamic from time to time. That is one of the values of having a listener who cares enough to interrupt a destructive pattern. You argue for limitations when you try to prove how “bad it is” by retelling a disempowering story. It is a pattern worthy of interrupting.

It is the rut-producing story-telling which creates more unwanted situations that inspires me to say: “Stop! Make it new!” Or, “Can you say that in a way you have not said that before?”

Every single moment of your life represents an opportunity for a new beginning. Every in-breath begins life anew; every out-breath releases the past. Every minute you are different from the minute before, with new cells, new energy, new life. Future experiences are not created by past experience, but by your current thoughts and feelings about those experiences.
